Teknosin

Teknosin is the company offering the widest range of industrial coding and marking solutions in Turkey. They distribute and develop products with inkjet systems, thermal transfer printers, print&apply systems, dot matrix or scribe metal marking, and laser marking applications to clients from different sectors, especially in the food, beverage, automotive industry.

Since we were designing a fingerprint icon, we chose to embed the establishment date of Teknosin in it in Morse code, instead of drawing random shapes. This was a play referring both to the fact that it is a company operating in industrial coding/marking, and to the fact that fingerprints carry information about their owners.

Teknosin was also in the process of establishing new brands for its new physical and digital products, so we developed a system of sub-branding for them.

We also designed an icon set to be used in all print and digital items, including the screen interface of the equipment Teknosin develops. This overall consistency in the visual language is an important feature of branding.

We believe in a rational design process where decisions are based on objective reasons that emerge from the project brief and that can be articulated in meaningful and productive discussions.
